TERMS & CONDITIONS

 
1. ELIBILITY
 
  1. Open to amateur photographers from Karnataka State only (attach proof of domicile along with entry).

  2. Open to amateur photographers below 35 years of age (Submit proof of age along with entry).

  3. The Askary Awards can be availed only once. Previous Askary Award recipients are not eligible to participate.

2. PHOTOGRAPHS
 
  1. 4 photographic prints on any subject matter; Color or B/W (or mixed) with each print (glossy, matt or semi-matt) not less than 8 inches on the longer side. Prints should not be framed or rolled (thin mounts accepted).

  2. By submitting an entry (using analogue or digital cameras), the entrant certifies the work as his own.

  3. Name of entrant with address including Mobile number to be mentioned at the back of each photograph.

3. AWARDS
 
  1. There will be Two equal Askary Awards each consisting of:

    • Askary Awards Trophy

    • Cash Award Rs. 1500 /-

    • Membership of Youth Photographic Society (one year only; applicable for non-members only).

  2. Bus/Train Transport fare (as found appropriate and agreed) will be paid by the Organizers for the Award Winners, if they are from outside Bengaluru.

  3. Award winning photographs may be published in publications related to the event without prior notice.

  4. Award winning entries and photograph of the award winners will be presented in the official website.

  5. Names of Jury members will be announced during the Award ceremony.

  6. Relatives of Jury members are not eligible to participate.

  7. Proof of age, domicile and professional status to be produced if Jury requests before declaration of results.

  8. Failure to submit proof before the stipulated time determined by the organizers will result in disqualification.

  9. Decision of Jury is final and binding to all participants. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

 
4. SUBMISSION & CORRESPONDENCE
 
  1. Entries (Prints only) with Complete Entry Form should be submitted in the same packet to the address below by registered post, courier (include mobile number below) or personally to any member of Askary Awards Committee before 10/08/2010. Entries received after this date will not be considered.

  2. For postal entries, enclose adequate return postage (sufficient stamps / M.O). Do not enclose cash.

  3. Pack well to ensure that photographs will be received in good condition.

  4. Entries can be submitted during YPS events and returned after the event during YPS meetings.

  5. Entries submitted in person to be collected before 1st October 2010

  6. Entries received by post will be despatched before 1st October 2010.

  7. Organizers will not be responsible for any entry lost or damaged during postage.
